The scales are anodized aluminum, other options are available if you so desire. The rings are in bright aluminum, the tail is left hollow for maximum swaying and swishing!
**Aluminum is very lightweight and mostly quite sturdy but the Achilles heel to these tails is snags. You can step on them, drop them from high heights, wash them in soapy water, light them on fire, whip them at people, whatever you like, and they will sustain minimal damage. But if they snag the rings can pull apart, this is a super easy fix (I can repair for free or show you how) but please be aware when playing!**
These tails are approximately 6 inches (15 cm) wide by 30 inches long (44 cm), totalling over 400 scales plus a 2 inch + (5 cm) lobster clasp (clasp will vary depending on availability). Smaller tails are available also!
