The scales are anodized aluminum, other options are available if you so desire. The scales are anodized aluminum, other options are available if you so desire. The rings are in bright aluminum, the tail is left hollow for maximum swaying.
**Aluminum is very lightweight and mostly quite sturdy but the Achilles heel to these tails is snags. You can step on them, drop them from high heights, wash them in soapy water, light them on fire, whip them at people, whatever you like, and they will sustain minimal damage. But if they snag the rings can pull apart, this is a super easy fix but please be aware when playing!**
These tails are approximately 12 inches long, plus clasp. They are an ideal size for kids up to about 12, but they're quite small on older humans. The size comparison photo shows the tails in order from X Small (this listing), Medium, Large and Extra Large.
